here are more of the details ........he is on probation in newton county georgia...however ......he was picked up in tatnall county ...georgia for possession of cocaine.......about 30 dollars worth ......the newton county probation office said he has to be tried in glennville first and then newton county and the other county says the opposite .....so someone is what holding his paperwork? waiting for him to dry out but he did not do any.......just possession......we are in usa ......glennville ga....tatnall county ......and i used to have alot of respect for the law ....well maybe i still do ...but i am angry they cannot be on the up and up ...........i just dont know who to trust ....right now the sheriff and the probation ...office in newton county .....he is going to try and get ahold of her today ........but its been the sheriff wants him out of his jail here .......i dont know .......i feel helpless and no one to turn to...

Are you using the drug right now off of your keyboard? What's with all the periods? I almost had a seizure just trying to read that paragraph.

Sounds like the guy has had priors! If he is violated on his probation then he would be held pending extradition order from the county where his probation was located. The jurisdiction that is holding him usually has a certain amount of time before they will release an extradition hold. If he has a "New" offense in the detaining jurisdiction, he is usually adjudicated on that issue first, before extradition to the jurisdiction where he has violated probation. Once he has served his time or otherwise been adjudicated on the new offense, the probation violation offense will send an officer to pick him up and they'll take him before a judge to make a decree that he is in violation. Note this is not a trial, he was already tried and convicted and placed on probation. Probation means that the court will wave all or part of a jail term on condition that you maintain your probation status as ordered (Sounds like he didn't do that, since possession of a controlled substance would definitely be a probation violation).
