This truly may be "the" peace treaty to be signed with Israel which signals the beginning of the Tribulation. My pastor mentioned it last Sunday, and I can't seem to find any additional info on it. All I know is that Conasomebody Rice is meeting with European leaders now, and this treaty should be ready in about 30 days. That it's supposed to be between Israel and her neighbors. Does anyone know anything else about this??? Please answer if you do, or email me at yahoo. Thank you everyone!!

Don't let your Pastor cause you to fear. I'm not being critical, but your Pastor needs to be more careful before he brings up this subject.

If you read Ezekiel 38 and 39, you'll see that, in the "latter days," Russia, Iran and other Middle Eastern nations will invade Israel. Most folks think this will occur this summer, but only time will tell. According to Eze. 39:9, it will take Israel 7 years to burn all the impliments of war the invaders bring with them.

Now, let's back up for a minute. We know from Daniel 9:27a that the Tribulation will last exactly 7 years (these are 7 Biblical years -- each month having 30 days). We also know from OT and NT sources, such as Daniel 9:27b and the Olivet Discourse, that the Antichrist will break the 7-year peace treaty after 3 1/2 years. At that time, Jesus told the Jews that they are to flee Jerusalem (and all of Israel) when they see the "abomination" set up in the Temple. During this time, the Antichrist will mercilessly persecute ALL Jews, without exception. Most scholars believe that the Jews who flee will seek refuge in Petra, which is in Jordan.

Question for your Pastor: if the Jews flee after 3 1/2 years, and the Ezekiel 38/39 invasion happens during the Tribulation, how can the Jews ALSO be burning the implements of war? Logically, they cannot.

Tell your Pastor that, because the Eze. 38/39 invasion hasn't happened yet, it's impossible for this treaty to be "the one." Also, the treaty to which he refers (which is a trade agreement) doesn't fulfull all of the requirements of Daniel 9:27.

If he disagrees, feel free to have him contact me through Yahoo Answers.

While this may be, you have to remember that it must be for exactly 7 years. The very day it's signed the last events are in full swing. The antichrist will make a deal with Israel, from the way I remember it, HE brings it to THEM, and Israel accepts. This deal lets them rebuild the temple on the temple mount as well as begin the sacrifices again. There are certain requirements to meet.

Also, the AC can't appear while the "barrier" is in place, this must be removed before the AC can appear. His rise to power is prevented until God says so, once the "barrier" is out of the way, things will move as the Lord said they would.

Don't worry. You know what will happen, you were told. Just be ready. :)

I haven't heard anything about it but I am pretty sure any treaty which brings about the tribulation will be forged between the nation of israel and the antichrist, who will offer some sort of time of peace. As of yet, I can't think of any one person who stands out in my mind as having made any such promise with Israel yet, who has the power and authority to make it really worth getting worried about.

I wish I knew. If the peace treaty pressures Israel to withdraw from west bank, Golan Hights, etc... then that will open up Israel to terrorist attacks from Antichrist nations.

Also, God would see it as us cursing Israel. Where we will reap a curse also. Then also, we will be subject to more terrorist attacks. This treaty might have something to do with the inner America terrorist attacks lately, like the Virginia Tech shootings. When we pressured Israel to withdraw from Gaza, they lost land & so did we. Hurricane Katrina was allowed by God.

I would like to know the exact wording of the peace treaty.

There have been MANY peace treaties written and signed since Israel's formation. At the moment, the headline on Yahoo news is that Hamas has called off their truce with Israel.
