It depends on the type of debt.
~Collections stay on your report for 7 years from the date of delinquency. (this is a misnomer for many people. they just think it's 7 years, but according to most contracts, you have to be 180 days late for the account to go to collections so it's actually 7 1/2 years).
~Charge-offs are the same as above. They are just called two different things.
~Judgments can stay on for a long time...depending on who you owe. For example, if you owe any governmnet entity (tax lien, child support, etc.) that statute of limitations states that the item will not be removed from your credit report until 7 years after the debt is satisfied. Yikes!

depends-it can range from 5-20 years. the only exception i think are unpaid debts due to death, in which case an unpaid debt has to be presented to the estate within a certain amount of time after the death announcement or public notice of the estate.

depends on your state and the nature of the debt - but in general it hovers around 6-8 years.

well it goes on your credit report for 7 years but as for collections it depends on your state but most are 7 to 10 years
