So i have been tanning for a month now and my color looks great! Its just that my lower back, butt and the back of my thighs are all darker than the rest of my body. i think it might be because that area sits right on the glass as opposed to my back that is kinda lifted off of it? I'm not sure but does anyone else have this problem? How do i fix it?

I used to work in a tanning salon. The reason that you are darker in those areas is because your skin is right on the acrylic. The only way to even your skin out is to utilize a stand-up bed. Most of the stand-ups have a higher wattage than a regular bed, so it will even your tan out while boosting your tan with more bronzing rays!

It's a little bit awkward, but this is how I avoid getting underarm tanlines: For the first 2-3 minutes of your tanning bed time, lay on your side with your arms extended (so your underarm is basically squished directly against the bottom of the bed). Flip over and do the same on the other side. Then relax and tan like you normally do for the rest of the time you're in the bed. Once you get used to it, you'll figure out exactly how to stretch out so that you can get the most exposure to the rest of your body while you're tanning on your side.

The best thing I can suggest is to move around when you're in a lay down bed...

To be honest the only way to get a nice even tan is to go in stand-up...That way there are no pressure points, and you'll look great!

It's a common thing, I usually lay on my back but every once in a while I'll lay on my stomach, seems to help. What I have a problem with is those white lines underneath my buttocks, if I haven't fallen asleep lol I'll sit up for the last 5 minutes.

You could try not using a tanning bed....unless you really want to look 50 when you're 30.

that happens to me...you should try moving around, sitting in different positions.

i'm actually using the stand up now...which is a lot better. I have such a nice even tan now.
