Lots of military organizations use non-citizens, including the US and UK, just not in the way that the Legion Etranger is famous for.

The French Foreign Legion still exists and wasn't disbanded as some one alleges.
The Spanish Foreign Legion takes mainly Spaniards.

Try looking for mercenaries or body guarding in Iraq it that is your thing

Some countries like Canada do take a limited number of foreign troops into their military and even the US military probably if you have the correct visas and make your intentions known and can pass a background investigation.

BTW, the French Foreign Legion is still in existence.

There used to be a Spanish foreign legion but I'm not sure whether it is still in existence.

The French foriegn legion has been disbanded. You can try the U.N. force if you are 26 or older and have served in the military.
