My brother and his wife are living in a different country .. then me and my husband moved to this other country .. The problem is that we are only 2 me and my brother .. and now both of us left our parents in our home country .. Although they come to visit us for 1 or 2 months per year and we go to them for about one month too .. but do you think that I should feel guilty about it?

No don't feel guilty for living your life after all your parents must have lived theirs. Sounds like you and your brother see them often and you'd be there if they needed you right? They probably would not like thinking of you feeling guilty either so don't. Just keep letting them know you love them!!!!!!!!!!!

No you should not feel guilty. I have the same situation. However, I am the parent. Not only that but I am divorced, and live alone. Your parents want to see you happy, that is their happiness. As long as you keep visiting them, even when they are not up to traveling back and forth anymore to visit you. Just let them know you are there for them when ever necessary, and if and when they want to join you to live in your country you will be only to happy to help them.

I am sure you keep in touch with them by phone also. So just enjoy your families, and keep on doing what your doing.

No you shouldn't feel guilty about it. Most parents know that eventually their kids will move out and possibly away from them. As long as you call,e-mail and visit you are doing all you can do while still living your own life.

you should plan a day when you and your brother could visit your parents in your home country. don't feel guilty. if you really are, then maybe stay there for a bit more until you could go back

Kids grow up and they move away that is life. I think that your parents love you and want you to live where you are happy. Besides, they could use this time alone with each other. It sounds to me like you guys spend quite a bit of the year together. Just enjoy it.

No. Your parents are free to join you in the new country on a permanent basis, too. Sometimes people do that when they get older - move closer to their children and grandchildren. As people get older, they tend to try to simplify their lives. Sometimes they move into a smaller house or condo. Sometimes they move to a better climate. It's quite common.

you're not a criminal, so there is no use feeling "guilt"...

when we are adults, we have to make choices which are best for us. i'm sure you still keep in touch with your parents, and you did say you all have an opportunity to visit a few times throughout the year.

i don't understand why you would ask others what you should feel? we all have our own feelings, and others can't dictate them for us.

take care of you...

Your parents knew that one day you and your brother would grow up and live a life seperate from them. They may have prefered if you would have stayed closer, but no, you shouldn't really feel guilty. Children grow up.

Nope you shouldnt feel guilty about it. You made a choice as an adult and I hope the move was in order to better yourself. Your parents are able to make that same choice and obviously they are not making it.

People have moved around the world since the beginning of time, that's why practically every corner is occupied. You should feel lucky that it was of your own free will to do so!
