It depends on to what extent you are allergic and what your reaction is. How do you know you are allergic? Did you almost die? Did you go into anaphylactic shock? Did your lips and airway swell up? I guess you need to think about how much peanut product you had when yo had the reaction and judge from there how sever your reaction was.

This depends largely on the severity of your allergy.

You can, indeed, die from anaphalaytic shock. Hopefully, you've got an epipen or other form of quick delivery of medication which would prevent such a reaction from occurring. You should carry your epipen with you always, and wear a medic alert bracelet, as well. Make sure your friends/family are aware of your allergy so they can take immediate action if you were exposed.

When someone has an allergist test him/her to find out what a person IS allergic to, the allergist can tell the person just HOW allergic the person is. My son is so allergic to penicillan, that he could not eat store bought meat, for fear of going into shock and dying from it! (the meat in grocery stores, usually has come from animals that have been fed lots of penicillan and such, to keep them big and healthy).
HOW allergic you are to something, and what your reaction IS to that allergy is the guide to how ill you would probably become.

Some people are more allergic than others. Peanuts are legumes, not nuts. Ask your doctor your questions...

Always be prepared by carrying an epi-pen. You never know.
