I have had a lump for about four months now. It is just below my little finger on the palm side of my hand. It is whit and hard to the touch. It only hurts if I press hard and it stays the same all the time. It appears to have a grey dot in the middle of it. Anyone any clues as to what this might be? Thanks!

Definatly a wart. You can go to your g.p who will freeze it off for you or you can buy special freezing gel from a chemists. I had them for years allover my hands and after a couple of freezing session they dissapeared never to return again.

That is a common wart! I have had a few in my time. It can't hurt you, but if you don't like how it looks, there are a couple removal methods available to you.

First off, if you go to the grocery store, you can buy some Dr. Scholl's Wart Remover over the counter. The wart remover pads don't really work, but the one that actually freezes the wart off with liquid nitrogen will do the trick. If you'd rather not do something like that by yourself, you can go to your doctor, who will do a procedure similar to the freezing option. The wart will turn a really gross purple color and get really big before it shrivels up and falls off in about a week or so. Good luck!

Yes it could be a wart or a pimple or some different sort of virus. Go to the doc, they maybe able to give you some thing for it. My son has warts on his hands and verrucas on his feet and toes they are known as viruses and can clear up on their own as quickly as they appear. Or you can get some thing for treating them. Before you do though get it checked out by your doctor or a nurse. You may have something in there. xx

Definitely a wart. Go to the dermatologist and get it taken off--usually by freezing. Warts are caused by a virus and they are very common on the hands. Others may show up on other fingers or you may never get another!
