how do you feel about illegal imegrants?

Naturally I am concerned about people and their livelihood, but I feel that illegal immigrants are taking a lot of funds away from our own citizens. I was always taught to take care of family and home first. The USA and citizens are our home and family and they should come first, then assist others if we have the resources to do so.

The key word here is ILLEGAL. If people start out by not obeying our laws do we really want them here? Shouldn't there be a way to make those who are already here pay a fine steep enough to cover costs of any medical, border patrol etc. that might be necessary because they are here? If they can get money to pay a coyote to get them here they can get money for the fine. For those who did not get here through the help of a coyote than a low interest loan can be given to them to pay the fine for their crime of illegally entering the country. We need to stiffen our borders to prevent any more from coming here. Those already here who have paid the fine can choose to become citizens and depending on how long they have already contributed to the community etc. they can be on a fast track or have to wait about 7- 10 years. The should ALL be required to learn English. If they don't learn English they should not become citizens. I don't care how long they have been here. After 10 years if they haven't learned English they need to be deported and may start all over again. For those not wanting to be citizens they would be issued a temporary visa to work in the US with restrictions on their movements and no guarantee that any children born here would be US citizens.

It is time the free ride for lawbreakers is over.

Those entering legally should be welcomed with open arms.

Are you one?..Just asking due to your spelling goof. But, anyway....I think our borders need to be closed period. I think we should escort all the illegal immigrants out of here right now. They don't pay taxes, they are a source of most of the crime in the us, they don't speak English very well either. I don't mid them being here if they have a green card and are taking the classes to become a citizen. I can't stand going into a restaurant and seeing the illegals busing tables and doing grunt work most for peanuts. I also hate when I am shopping at the mall and I hear people speaking in another language like they are normal! I believe if they are going to be here learn the language. My husband runs a service business and when I answer the phones for him I get so upset when I get a customer on the phone who can't speak enough English for me to understand what they need. I say send the illegals out right now! I would also add to that that we should give them 2 weeks to get enrolled in the citizen classes before making them leave.

A DRUNK ILLEGAL alien killed 2 teen girls a couple of weeks ago here in Virginia Beach. He had a DUI conviction before and was driving under a FAKE driver's license. Some folks miss the whole thing... and focus on the DRUNK part. If he had been kicked out of this country on the first DUI, those 2 girls would be alive today. O'Riley tried to pin it on our mayor. What could she do? She doesn't write FEDERAL LAWS. O'Riley is an idiot! Then he tried to pin it on the judge. He did what he COULD DO under the present laws. INS doesn't get involved unless the IA commits a felony. INS doesn't really give a rat's hind parts. Guess what happens if you're an illegal in 'hispanic' countries and get caught breaking a law. You'll never see the light of day again. But here in the U.S. we're so afraid of OFFENDING SOMEONE it makes me want to puke! I say if you get caught as an illegal in this country, you get carried to the border and thrown across by two guys named BUBBA. And if you get caught the second time, you get shot and your BODY gets thrown across the border. My parents/grand parents/uncles & aunt came here from Finland and jumped through all the hoops. They became American CITIZENS, the legal way. They were productive citizens (my grandfather owned a saw mill). Two of my uncles fought for the freedom of S. Korea; one MIA, one KIA. My father lost an arm in Korea fighting for their freedom. Yet illegals think they should get special treatment! I say...so some yahoo won't report me...MALE BOVINE EXCREMENT! I don't care WHERE you're from, if you're here illegally, you're committing a felony and should be treated as a felon.
But that's just MY opinion.

Hi, first, I should say that it takes a lot of courage to leave your homeland and come to a country where you barely know its language. I put myself in their shoes and think they should live a very bad situation when they decide to say goodbye to their customs, their friends, culture and everything they've ever had and exchange it for one little thing: FREEDOM. I am very open minded about illegal immigrants and think they should be treated better, not like animals. Just put yourself in their shoes to know the way they feel. Now that they're here, we should treat them better and make their lives a little easier. Anyways, they are already here!
What if you were born in a country where you can't speak your mind, where you have nothing to feed your children, where your money is not enough to pay your bills and were you are treated like s****.... I think you'd be an illegal immigrant too... at least, I would!!!!

These immigrants in time get legal documents and even become citizens. They help a lot in the development of the country they find their self. slaves were illegal immigrants and they did a lot in developing America. slaves that were taken to Britain, Holland, francs, .... helped in the development of these countries. they were illegal immigrations. because its all well with the very developed countries they they now consider new comers as illegal. Anyway, if they turn to cause problems they should be sent away. that's what my country is also doing. If its to improve on their standard of leaving, then let them be. So I feel very fine with illegal immigrants who come to better their condition and in one way developed the country too.

1) people like anyone else
2) broke law coming here
3) need to stop demanding things when they have no legitimite right to be here
4) whatever the reason should be deported and then let them try the legal way.


I wish huggy, warm, cuddly wuddly feeling could fix everything but they can't and right is right and wrong is wrong and using the "better life" excuse will not fix the problems.
It is like the newest episode of South Park..rather than address the homeless problem they just moved them to other towns...it is not a fix, just a swap and hence perpetuates problem

If you don't have a criminal record, you're only trying to make a decent living, You speak good english and pay taxes and play by the rules... in general (not mentioning the fact you're breaking immigration law) should be given the chance to get status in the states. Yes. Pay for breaking the law with cash but let them stay as they're making more good than bad

I feel that illegal immigrants, any immigrants for the matter learn english. If an immigrant comes for the US for good reasons, like supporting their families, I have no problem with that, but if all these illegal immigrants come to this country and expect us to cater to their language, they better think again, learn and speak english!!!
