It's fine as long as it is an evening wedding. It would be too harsh for a daytime spring wedding.

P.S. No teenager here! I've been to many weddings, as I am 28 and most of my friends have gotten married in the last 2 or 3 years. I've been to everything from a $40,000 upscale wedding to a wedding in a backyard. Wearing black is fine. You definitely won't be the only one.

A black gown to a spring wedding ceremony has 2 considerable issues incorrect. Black is beside the point to placed directly to a marriage and black isn't a colour you have to be wearing to a spring experience. the golf green gown is a lot greater ideal.

My husband's sister-in-law had a day time summer wedding, and she dressed all of her brides maids in black. All of the men wore black suits. She had almost neon colored flowers. The entire thing was incredibly tacky, but maybe she didn't know better about the colors she chose.

I'm going to a wedding next week and I am wearing black. Do you think I care what the "fashion police" are gonna think. The answer is a definite NO.

Wear what you want. Whose business is it anyway what clothes are on YOUR body?

I think one black piece would be allowable, perhaps a skirt or slacks and a colored or print blouse, not white because we don't want to be mistaken for the wait staff.

It doesn't matter if black is in this year, when the bride and groom look at the photo album, they'll still see someone who looks more comfortable at a funeral.

I only had a black dress for my friends wedding so I just called her and asked if it would be appropriate. I would call the bride or groom, whomever you know, and just ask what the dress "code" will be and if it would be alright.

you presence @ the time of the funeral is paramount to the color of your attire that you may choose to wear. Remember, it is not a fashion statement that you are making, it is honoring the loved one and praying for the existing family. Dress appropriately for the weather and or comfort, black does not mean anything, go with your common sense. For men a neutral colored suit w/ or without tie, and for women, free flowing dress, but nothing loud. May God richly bless.

I think black at weddings must be a regional thing, where I am at (North East) everyone wears black, its rare to find people in colors, but in other sections of the country black is really a no-no. At past weddings have people worn black? If so, go for it, its acceptable in your area. If you havent seen much black I would steer clear. I am going to a wedding in July and this is the dress I am wearing, its black but still summery, maybe somthing like this would work for you

I adore black & always wear it to formal events, such as weddings. If I had bridesmaids, they would have been in black.

I don't care what colours my guests wear, black is a classic, and I doubt anyone will even remember what you wear (not being nasty there) because everyone will be looking at the bride.
