My husband's recipe is great, and it will work fine in a slow cooker, with some prep work.
Evil Ed's Chili
2 pounds hamburger
1 onion
1 can diced tomatoes
1 large can tomato juice
2 packages mild Durkey's or McCormick's chili flavoring
chili powder to taste (about 1 heaping teaspoon)
2 cups uncooked macaroni
1 small handful (about 1/4 cup brown sugar
Dice onion and brown with hamburger. Drain fat off. Cook macaroni as per package instructions, then drain. Add all ingredients except brown sugar and cook on slow for the day. Immediately after you've turned off heat, stir in brown sugar (this cuts the acid from the tomatoes).
