Are you bitter toward God and what made you become bitter?

I'm not now, but I have been a couple times in my life. Times when things were going very badly. I blamed God for things caused by people, and the fact that my prayers weren't answered. Turns out they were answered, just not the way I wanted or in the time frame I wanted. I have since learned not to blame God for situations I had control over. I was a bit like a child throwing a tantrum at God because I didn't get my way right then.

I have to say that when I was a Christian I did get bitter in the end but that was because He got such a bad press and got blamed for everything and I was in constant fear of offending Him and I seemed to constantly need saving from my endless stream of sins. Then I got to a different place and realised religion just makes God small and limited. The God/dess I know now is awesome and beautiful and a little scrap like me could never offend Her. I am not bitter now. Just blessed and loved.

I was bitter. I have learned that my heart was hard and dark because I was not tending to the needs of my soul. I was listening to the world and the worlds ideas about God instead of going to the source. I had it all wrong and blamed God for things that make no sense. I got too involved in myself and too wrapped up in my problems to see the truth. Fortunately, God kept putting wonderful Christian people along my path and finally, one day, I was hurting enough to be open to listen. God is the business of healing hurts and mending hearts. God is Love. If you are bitter, tell Him. Read your bible, ask Him to reveal to you the truth. Get into fellowship with other Christians. Turn on some good clean music (Christian or not) and pray over your home. You may be under attack. Put on the armour of God. Christ did not die on the cross for you to be miserable and hurt. Only the Lord knows the plans he has for you....plans for hope, prosperity and a future......Our God is not the creator of chaos and confusion but of strength, love and a sound mind..... when you talk with others who know the truth, you will find your solution. Dont let the enemy tell you lies. He has a toe hold----dont let him have one more minute.

I think these people who spend their time in this section and have no religion or believe they have no souls or spirits, are here simply to spread their bitterness. You can see it in their answers. Personally, it kinda defies logic that they'd spend so much time in an area they keep saying they have no interest in, like me hanging out in the craft section, illogical. The only reason for it has to be anger and bitterness. I mean really, "there is no god" gets old and its not informing or actually doing anything but annoying others and wasting space. But hey, we've apparently become a world of haters, bashers and trolls. How sad is that.

No, I am not bitter towards God, but I am answering because I have friends who say that they are. I think they feel this way because of various reversals in their lives that they apparently fell must be blamed on someone, or something. I find myself often telling them that life is simply not fair and they need to just get over it. This is, of course, not what they want to hear, preferring instead to wallow in the depths of self-pity.

Hello... No I'm not bitter towards God because of the fact that most of the problems that are occurring in our world are caused by man. Our wars are caused by man, not God. The killing of innocent people are not caused by God, only man. The diseases that have killed so many are due to man in certain aspects. At one time I thought that God was to blame for not stopping these issues but then I thought that Man started these wars and conflicts so God is probably thinking. "Hey you solve them yourselves". I can't blame God for taking my dad because dad lived to be 80 and probably God needed him in his own Garden to till, so I have accepted this in my heart, although I shall miss him very much. Why be bitter to God for the weather? God gave us this world to live in and we as His children has taken "mother earth" for granted and have misused her. It's not God's fault. So my answer is "no". I'm not bitter against My Father. I'm against man for destroying a gift that was given to us. Have a blessed day!

I am not bitter, at least I try not to remain bitter for long, when I realize that bitterness doesn't make sense--it hurts me (it doesn't hurt God, for sure) and it doesn't solve anything although, sometimes it feels better to blame somebody else for the unpleasant side effects of my soul's chosen lessons.

thankfully I am not... God is never the 'reason' for anything bad that has happened in my life.... He is there to help me thru whatever comes my way... giving me strength

bitterness is like a poison that can seep into all areas of life... if you are upset/bitter about anything... it will and does affect other parts of your life, other relationships, other activities.

NO!! There is no reason to be bitter toward God. What has he done to make you bitter toward him?? He died for your sins so you could be forgiven. He went to Calvary for everyone. There's NO REASON to be bitter towards him. NONE! I love him and he loves me. Just because you cant physically see him doesnt mean hes not real. Becuase he is!
