Babies can start as early as 7 months- the earliest crawler I had was my first daughter, she started crawling at 8 months. By the time her 1st birthday came, she was dancing and walking all over the place. My second daughter started crawling at 10 months and my son which was the third baby- he started crawling a couple weeks right before his birthday in Feb of this year & started walking in mid March. It all depends on the child, my 2nd daughter started crawling at 10 months because she was scared of the floor, we didn't have carpet like with my 1st kid. I guess she was scared to fall & hurt herself. My son was just chunky & he's still chunky that's why it probably took him a little to get walking- because of the weight. Dont worry your baby will get there soon. When your child is ready to crawl then she will.

Anywhere from 6-10 months but not every baby crawls. Some scoot on their butts or elbows and some just start walking! Every baby is different but usually between 6 and 10 months

I am a mother of three. Based on that, what "the books" say, I honestly have to say that there is no set age on crawling. My first born didn't crawl until she started walking, and that was because she was tired of walking. If your baby doesn't start to crawl until it is one year old that is fine. I wouldn't worry.

The average is around 8 months but it can be anything from 5 months and some babies never crawl, they just go straight to walking or they bottom shuffle.

mine is enjoys standing more than trying to crawl ; now 8 months old.. generally, it depends on individual's motor skill of when to crawl..
Eg: my friend's child is already 12 months o but only have 2 teeth; the other one is 10 months o; but no teeth yet; while mine is 8 months o & already having his 7th tooth erupting... so who is to say when is the age for babies to start crawling .. keke...
