O.K. How old is she? I didn't join the Church until I was 38, that includes Baptism, Confirmation and my first Communion. There was a woman in my RCIA class that was 75. Unless she is dead, she isn't to old.

But on to your question.

Yes, they can be married in a Catholic Church, however it will NOT be a Mass (since she is not confirmed and is not able to have communion).

Now, this is conditional - why is the fiance illegal? is he in the country illegally? If so, then you may not be able to marry unless you can prove to the Church that you are willing to have a sacramental marriage - meaning you are planning on staying married (you are not getting married just so he can become a citizen) and all the things that go along with that.

This is something that you should speak with a priest about. Who knows, perhaps this woman will find the Church that she loves and want to return.

Oh, I hope you didn't take my comments to be rude, certainly not my intent.

You will need to speak with a priest. Some are a little more "liberal" than others and will not see anything canonically wrong with them getting married, but I still don't think it can be a Mass (the lack of confirmation will be the hold-back on that). Depending on when the wedding is, the bride-to-be may still be able to take some confirmation classes and be confirmed before the big day - hey, maybe even be confirmed AND get married at the same time???

Best of luck to the bride and groom on their wedding, may it be a truly blessed event.

Ah,I suspect that this question does not come from Daddys little girl but an older friend! well anyway that`s not important but ther are certain issues here that may well have great bearing on the asker, the communion issue would not be such a problem here as she can go to her local Parish Priest to get this sorted without to much difficulty.
What I am hearing is a possible bigger problem, for example have either been married before and if so has the asker received a proper annulment? is the fiance in this predicament? if so this needs to be addressed first and foremost, as for the asker of this question she was baptized into the Catholic church and therefore is still a Catholic albeit a lapsed Catholic, but would be welcomed back in a heartbeat and should not fear rejection or criticism, and age will not be a problem either.

Yes she can marry in the Church. It is never to late for her to receive her first Communion. Many people receive their first communion well into their adulthood.

God bless,
