No. Liberals would send their 4 year old children to fight, and tell themselves they are sacrificing their kids to make America Socialist. Their idea of freedom, is to have none at all. They wouldn't fight against terrorists, though. Did Bill Clinton, when our soldiers were murdered on the USS Cole, in Yemen, or when the American embassy was attacked, and people died in Africa? No. He attacked Haiti, an easy battle, not a war, and for what reason? America wasn't in any danger, whatsoever. Yet, Bill Clinton was praised by Liberals for doing such a needless act. Democrats didn't mind being taxed for that useless escapade, did they? They didn't mind the chance of American soldiers being killed, then, did they? Haiti was weak, and didn't have a chance to win against us. Is that the kind of wars Libs want us to fight? Not the real battles that matter, to protect us, and our allies? It seems so. How cowardly!

The American people as a whole have very short memories. The democrats lied about the Gulf of Tonkin incident to get us involved in Vietnam. Cost 58,000 plus American lives. Different time, different place, but similar results. Why? Because for four years, the media left them alone and didn't want or try to find the truth. The media only determined, through Walter Cronkite, that the war was "un-winnable" when a Republican was going to be the President. Now, the media digs to find things out, and in some cases, makes up the story to fit their political leanings. It doesn't matter if the president is democrat or republican, like the saying goes' "those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it".

Republicans opposed wars Clinton got involved in. I never considered their opposition -- however partisan it might have been -- "UnAmerican."
When Democrats opposed Democrat Lyndon Johnson's war in Vietname, were the unAmerican, too. Later on, when Republicans joined in the oppostion to the Vietnam war, were they unAmerican.

Democrats wouldn't have had the cajones to go to war, even though they voted for it before they voted against it.
Martin and Drewbie....I couldn't agree with you more, but the fact remains that Democrats were all for this war when the opinion polls were for it.

Expressing dissent and feeling free to express how you feel about the job your government is doing are about the most American things you can do. They are the core beliefs that our government is based on. Regardless of the political party of the president, the American people would always and should always have the freedom to express the way they feel about what is going on.

So being against war is un american. So were right in Viet Nam, Panama, Bay of Pigs et etc. We have never been wrong. What makes us American is that we can dissent. I thought that was the latest thing we are supposed to be fighting for in Iraq. So is dissent OK or not?
Yes there was great protest against Lyndon Johnson who escalated the war in Viet Nam.

Being American is having the ability to have an opinion and some say in what our government chooses to do. Being American means having the freedom to say what you think whether you agree with the President or not. I will continue to be American no matter who is in office. I will continue to think and form my own opinions. i will continue to add my voiced to the debates that makes this country great.
Being American means we have a chance to change our course when we make mistakes.

Not that a democrat would go to war but if they did the media would gloss over any and every thing to make him look good.
