he is a male dog, neutered, and 11. He has had a blood test, with liver and kidney insufficiency, the vet had him have a low protein regime. i decrease the meat ration to 1/5. Some days ago, i found him a bit cold (the way he lies), the temp is around 38 (38,5-38,7 before). I give calcium and some honey, he is 38 3 now. still eating same food. what other care should i have, i need your advice, as a professional breeder ( he has his vet too). Thanks to all of you.

Hi lilbird
I didn't see your question until just now. I don't think it is low calcium although it could be I don't have anywhere near enough info to say that though. You may be thinking of a time when I said to watch for calcium levels with a female who is either in whelp or nursing. The low calcium will make them shake and it is an emergency when it is calcium levels which usually is a female in whelp or nursing.
That doesn't mean that is not what is going on,but I don't think so.
It has been a week have you gone to a vet yet? Did you take the dog's temp before you asked the Q?
How old is this dog? Male female? Spayed or neutered? What type of dog? What has it been eating? What symptoms are going on? You have probably found out what was happening though.
Good luck with that. If you want just put in more info and tell us what you have found out or seen in symptoms this week.

I haven't seen Happy here in a few days. He does do Dog shows and is a handler. So You can try to find a question he has answered and e-mail him.
I would not go by what a friend has told you. I think the best thing is to get your dog into the vet and they can run some blood work to see if your dog needs any kind of supplement.

Go to the vet. Your dog may have heart problems or there is some thing wrong with his blood-pressure.

If you are concerned about your dog you should have him seen by a vet.

Happy Camper is not a vet.

No vet can diagnose or treat your dog without seeing it. To do is not only dangerous for your dog, it is illegal.

Please have your dog into see the vet if you are concerned about his health.

honey is no no they need meat. chicken is the best or hamberger, cooked or not. you need to add that to the diet and big bowl. they are meat eaters. don't give them grapes will kill them or chocolate. take to the vet hes old.
