I just have the gift of being able to satisfy certain needs.

Humans really will never be fully satisfied. We can pretend we are because we have a nice house, a decent car, a loving family, make enough money to keep food and basic necessities in our lives and our faith in our religion. But, I believe that there is always the deep down 'what am I missing?' feeling because humans, in general, are not complacent and are always look for something more. Of course, we are taught to be that way from birth...don't just crawl...walk, don't just coo...talk, don't be ignorant...learn...don't settle for the Ford...get a BMW...we are taught to continue to 'better' ourselves as a society. So no matter how satisfied someone may pretend to be with their lives, I just don't think I have ever met someone truly satisfied. Perhaps if we were raised in bubbles with very little external influences and only taught what we needed to know to get by, then we might be satisfied because we just wouldn't know there was anything else to strive toward.
I would love to have a happy life, but don't think I would ever want to be truly 'satisfied' because then what is there to strive for and look forward to?

Hi...I think it all depends on the individual and how they see themselves. If one has the encouragement to make themselves without misery in their life then they can become satisfied and to fulfill their needs. Not everyone can be satisfied or happy. One cannot be changed unless they want to be changed. It all depends on the individual and how they feel about themselves. If they dwell on negative ideals or views or outcomes, then their life will continue to be in misery. If one has a positive outlook on life then most likely they will be contented throughout their life. Have a great day!

If you know how to be happy, then when your needs are fulfilled you will not have unhappiness. But if your needs are fulfilled and you still are not happy, you still don't know the difference between need and want.

I need water, air and food and shelter every day. Everything else are wants. I am satisfied with my life right now. But I am not satisfied with myself yet. I haven't learned all that I want to learn. That's why I read a lot. Needs and wants are different things. God provides me with my needs. I have to provide myself with my wants.

Needs are ongoing. That is nature. If you eat a great meal, it won't sustain you for the rest of your life, you need another in a few hours.
Satisfaction comes in small victories, whether they are achieving a full stomach or winning a game, or achieving a goal.
But, by nature, it doesn't last, it can only be maintained. Which is a good thing if you strive for good things.

Well, you can probably do that, I can't. I trust God to fulfill my needs. Since my need is endless, I can be content with what I have. Happy isn't the issue, I have love for the God who provides for me. That brings me to a point where I am content because I trust Him.

You will be satisfied when you see the futility with chasing after things that are by nature ephemeral...
in layman's term...there will come a point in your life when you will realise it's not such a big deal after all..and it's not really worth it to kill and harm over mundane things...

Psalm 63 (KJV)
5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
