What's the next step?

Question

I met this beautiful woman on a first date, after we were matched together on eharmony. We met at the beach, and we had drinks, had great conversation, and walked along the beach at night. On the way back to our cars, we stopped and kissed for about 20 minutes, kissing pretty passionately.

I am interested in a second date, however I am leaving to go back home to Louisiana (we're in Florida) for 5 days, and she has a close female friend coming into town tomorrow all week, so I told her when I get back we should rent a boat and cruise the island where I live.

I sent her a text message the day after our date, telling her I had a good time and we should do this when I get back. Her reply was, "Thanks and have a good time."

That was yesterday. What's my next move? Should I cease all communication until I get back so she doesn't feel pressured? What should I say when I get back? If she doesn't call or send me any messages/emails, does that mean she's not interested?

I would wait. She will probably be so busy trying to live it up with her friend that she won't have a lot of spare time to talk w/you. If she does send you a msg though don't hesitate to send her one back. Otherwise she might think your ignoring her and thigs could end up bad when you go back. Maybe send her a msg when your on your way back to let her know you are still planning on coming.

Maybe something happened to the text message? Gawd if you have a metro u know it did! Do like the others suggest and wait till you get back to FLA and call her. Get her on the phone. If you call her and leave messages that you KNOW she's going to get - I'd say once a day for a week, then she's deliberately ignoring you because she's not interested. Just because she kissed you passionately doesnt mean she likes you - it just means shes "testing the waters". Good luck.

Wait until you get back from Louisiana. 5 days may seem a long time but she knows you'll be away and that you're still interested in her. You don't want to seem desperate. Don't worry if she doesn't contact you; she has other diversions - her female friend visiting. When you return, renew your offer of a second date. Good luck.

Wait until you get back. Let her spend time with her friend, and you enjoy spending time with your family. When you get back, pick up where you left off. If she doesn't return your calls when you get back, then move on.
