That certianly was cute! But seriously I am glad they did. I could not understand an all loving God making little souls wait so long to be with him. It did not make sense.

Limbo (dance) or limbo/pergatory for infants? Either way...the nerve of him! He doesn't have the authority to say who is in heaven and who isn't. No man does...only God! Oh, and when did God say that the pope is infallible with regard to church teachings and doctrine? He didn't. A group of cardinals did that.
Another reason why I left Catholicism and am now non-denominational. The people are great...but the senior leadership is another story.
PS: There is no such place as purgatory. It is not mentioned in the bible or any other scriptures. It was creasted by the church in the middle ages for the wealthy. They essentially were able to do all their "dirt" and still not be condemned to hell, according the church. They had a chance in pergatory to get it right.

The Pope has finally cleared up something that has been kicking around for far to long,Limbo was never official dogma of the Catholic Church unlike Purgatory and Hell which are Catholic dogma and cannot be changed by this or any future Pope, besides if you are not Catholic what`s it to you?

Next thing you know he will shoot down canonization too. A true fleecing of the flock if ever there was one.

If all their past teachings came directly from God, does this now mean that their "God" was wrong - or did He just change His mind?
