I myself do not believe in any kind of god but am saddened that i am thought of as a wicked and bad person. I am a warm, loving and kind individual who would see no harm come to anyone else so why do you all say nasty things like i'll spend eternity in hell unless I turn to your belief system? Isn't just being a good person enough to let me live my life in peace?

Jews do not consider you to be a wicked or bad person. Jews themselves are held to a higher standard and are obligated to comply with the 613 commandments.

Others (atheists and anyone else) are only bound by the seven Noahide laws. All the righteous of the nations have a share in the world to come.

It is only the Christians that "believe" you will burn in hell's fire for eternity. Since Muslims don't "believe" that Jesus was god either, I'm not sure even they would condemn you to eternal punishment. Eternal punishment is limited to that kind and loving Christian god.

Do not murder.
Do not steal.
Do not worship false gods.
Do not be sexually immoral.
Do not eat a limb removed from a live animal.
Do not curse God.
Set up courts and bring offenders to justice.

I don't consider them to be bad people unless they live out the desires of the flesh to the extent that they run afoul of God's and man's laws. Sin is redeemable in most instances, but ONLY if the sinner is willing and accepting. Being "good" simply doesn't cut it. While it doesn't automatically make you an immoral person, it does make you a sinner, for individual morality is bred of man's best intentions instead of what "thus saith the Lord". You are redeemable and vital to God's plans, so don't let some over-religious zealot tell you that you're doomed to Hell! You only condemn yourself through disobedience and indifference.

It is not you specifically that Christians think is a bad person. We don't think anyone is a wicked person. I think we get very upset and hurt when we are attacked and persecuted for our beliefs. Christians have it hard this day in age, b/c everyone calls us freaks or weirdos. Why do people do that? When we hear these personal attacks we retaliate (which is not a christian thing to do). As far as the hell issue, well all we are trying to do is save your soul, b/c of what we believe.

What happens if you find out we were right? All those people were reaching out to you to save you from hell because christians really do care and love everyone. What if we ARE right?

We don't think you are bad people. You are just the same as us in that you make mistakes and make wrong decisions (we all do as we are all human). What I would try to get accross is that as a Christian I know that I have been forgiven for these past present and future sins that I am going to do. God doesn't want us to spend our eternity in hell and loves you so much that he wouldn't for that. He understands that we are all going to make mistakes and that no body is perfect. The only person that is perfect was Jesus. Being a good person is a good thing but unfortunately its not enough.

I'm not sure who called you a bad person because you are a non-believer. Being a non believer does not make you a bad person.

Just know that being a good person does not equal a way to heaven. God doesn't base His judgements on being a good or bad person He bases them on the relationship you have with Him.

I'm sorry you feel that you are being called a bad person because you are a non believer, but having true peace is knowing where you are going after life. I hope you can truely live peacefully not knowing. Furthermore, no one can condemn you to hell but God, so whether someone says that or not I wouldn't take their word for it, I would read it for myself.

Being a good person and living an honest life is the best form of religion.

It isn't Christian to say nasty things, so those that do are discrediting their belief.

There is good and bad in every religion, in every colour and in every country. Make sure your time is spent with the good people in life.

Well i do believe in God very much so, but i have never thought of a non believer as bad, each to their own. I don't push my beliefs on anybody, but i do get fed up with idiots who think they know it all when they say things against believers, they seem to think they know it all, but they can't prove that God does not exist, just as i can't prove he does, so it would be nice that we agree to disagree, and if people can't deal with that then maybe they are on the wrong web page

yes? I'm sure God doesn't mind you not believing in him. Its just that we witnessed him and continue to do so. We don't think you're bad at all and pray for your continued safety. I think believers recommend god as He is an absolute help for the human mind (remember there has always been a spiritual belief in human society) for obstacles the respective man chooses to overcome. If you invite Him into your heart he will help exactly how you would expect him to, being your absolute servant and friend.

Just being a good person will not get you into heaven. You must accept that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died and rose again for you. You also must ask His forgiveness and live for Him. No, you are not a bad person and neither are anyone who doesn't live for Jesus. Anyone who treats you that way is not a true follower of Jesus. Yes, being a good person is great and you will live in peace here on earth. But remember there is an after life and who we live our lives for here matters as to where you will spend eternity. Jesus is the only way to God and to heaven. I am just telling you my beliefs and God gave you a free will to accept Him or not to accept Him. I will pray for you as you search for the true meaning of life, which for me is to live for Jesus Christ who died for me. He rose again and forgives me of my sins, so I can be with Him for eternity in true peace in heaven.

Hm, well I fall under the "other faiths" category, and don't consider anyone who doesn't believe in the same things I do to be "bad" only "different". I consider anyone who does bad things to be "bad". But then I don't believe in Christian Hell, either....
