ok this guy i know when i first met him i thought he was a loser then all that changed we began talking as friends and i grew attached i really liked him but everyone including me wondered why he didnt like me he finally told me its cause we are to close to let something go wrong so why cant i except that? part of me still wants him he is all i think about help me please.

everyone feels this way! you will learn to accept it over time though...if you really want him that bad...tell him that of coourse your afraid something will go wrong...but if it does you trust that it wont let it get to your friendship...he'll understand.

It seems he was hurt in the past it seems, His betrayal causes him to be suspisious of himself when he gets too close to someone. I can understand his feelings but they are directed at the wrong person. (I got over it myself by thinking it through).
He just needs to realise he can trust you, that you will not hurt him. Unfortunly there isnt an easy fix for this one. About the only thing you can do is make him realise that he is pushing away people that could help and causing himself to be lonely again.
If he understands that then perhaps he will work it out. Also not sure how you are going to make him realise that but :/ Heh best o luck with that

ok, you can't accept that because you really like him and you want to be with him but since the two of you have grown too close he thinks that if you got together as a couple than it would mess up the realtionship as friends and as a couple. He is only looking out for the both of you. he doesnt want you to get hurt and he doesn't want to get hurt. But you can still be friends right... or maybe ask him if he you two can be friends with benefits
