gradually the hole in the ozone layer (which falls directly over australia and new zealand...lucky us) is beginning to close since the eradication of cfcs and aerosol cans. Now we must shift our focus to climate change, which is a real problem and needs our attention.

hello,
yes ozone layer can be retained and protected. It is
very high time for all humanbeings to consume less energy and resources that are present in the environment. In addition every one has to use renewable resources and energy and bio degradeable products.
This and only this is the best solution to all environment related issues of today.

i always like the discussion over the hole in the ozone layer. specially when somebody blames it to aerosols and CFC. since the gases in aerosols are heavier then air it will sink to the ground. and the big hole is over the antarctic region, New Zeeland and Australia. i wonder how many penguins and kangaroo's are using aerosols....
the ozone layer needs light to repair it's self and since the Antarctica has a period of about 5 months darkness, the O3 is breaking down.

The ozone is earth's protective layer held in by gravity, we cannot reverse what has already been done, we can only prevent it
