i took reli nice pictures of members of my family etc but when it comes to uploading them onto the pc it becomes very dark. how do i solve this, its pretty annoying having nice pictures that look fine on the camera that turn out horrible on the pc?

I take it that you mean they looked okay on the camera display, but not your monitor?? This is quite common, and is probably because your monitor is not set at the correct levels of brightness, contrast etc. OR conversely the camera is set too bright making you think that the pics are better than thet are. What are the printed results like?? You can adjust the downloaded results with Photoshop, or download Picasa FREE it will let you make improvements in many ways.

You can always lighten them in a photo editing program.
Sounds like your screen brightness might be up a little too high.
