A typical 'comfortable' speed for someone on a bike (other than a road/racing bike) is around 8-10 mph. This means your time to cover 5 miles would be 30-37 minutes.

On a road bike, it is quite easy to maintain speeds of 12-14 mph ... which translates into a time of 21-25 minutes for 5 miles.

In good shape, on a road bike, speeds of 20-23 mph are achievable ... leading to elapsed time of 13-15 minutes for 5 miles.

If you average 15 mph it should take 20 minutes. It you average 10 mph, it will take a half hour.

about 15mins, if you can keep a steady speed of 20mph. there will be people and inclines in the grade, so you might not be able to keep that speed constant. it also depends on your physical condition and what kind of bike you have. fat guy on a comfort bike, forget it.....
