i havent yet recovered but assuming i recover from both, i want to get this tattoo.
like the eating disorder recovery symbol, and inside of it i want a black and grey naked fairy sitting down with her knees up to her chest and her face in her knees.
is that a good tattoo that i could represent my recovery of both my eating disorder and depression?

this sounds amazing, have you considered having this as you describe, but having her wings done, in detail, and having them alone in bright colour, as a symbolism of you having overcome you problems, a sign of re-birth? just a thought. whatever you decide, i wish you all the very best ofluck in the world, i have been where you are now, on both countsand can tell you, you have it within you to come through this, and out the other side, best wishes

I have a small tattoo of a sobriety symbol I designed myself on my breast to remind me of my drinking times hoping to help me over my bad times. It helps spmetimes because I haven't had a drop from the bottle since 1997. Go for the tattoo, the artist usually draws an outline on your body before he begins with a needle, you can decide by looking in a mirror if you like it. Bare in mind tattoos hurt like cat scratches all the while your tat is being made, but it's well worth it. I have five tattoos, two that are at least 7 inches long and look forward to my next one. Good luck on your tat and your recovery. :)

Hi!
I think that is sounds wonderful!
I know some people will say it will remind you of your bad times and how hard it was. I however, I think that it will ALSO remind you of where you could have been, where you came from and more importantly, where you are. You are NOT there anymore, WILL NOT go back there and have become STRONG and OVERCAME. Anything that will remind you of that is beautiful.
I recently decided to get, "This too shall pass" in Herbrew as my first tattoo on my wrist. A lot of people on here didn't think it was good because it would remind me of the "sad and bad times." I don't see it that way...
Good luck with your eating disorder now and in the future. YOU WILL BE OKAY! :)

Yes I think it's a great idea. People who are trying to recover or have recovered from things often look at their tattoo as a symbol of where they were. It may help you get over your issues and help remind you never to fall back into the same issues again.

When you have recovered re think what you want for a tattoo, it may be something different, it must come from your heart and your mind. By the way, congrats on your mission of recovery.

It sounds very depressing. And every time you look at it, you will be depressed. Go for something that has nothing to do with any of that. Something you will be happy with looking at when you're 60.
