Cats are arid animals. They like it warm and dry. My cat likes the temperature around 76-80. She hates the air conditioner.

I have one long-haired cat who likes coolish weather (between 60 to 70F degrees). He could also stay outside in 35 degree temperature comfortably for about an hour if I let him. The short hair likes warm-cool to downright warm (70 to 80F degrees). Above 85 degrees F, both cats don't want to move around much and tend to want to hang around the coolest parts of the house.

They will probably go to the warmest part of the house during the cold weather and the coolest part during the warmer weather i guess they are a little like us in a sense. We have two cats one likes to sunbake in the morning and the other would prefer to sleep under the doona that is on a cold morning. On a warmish day one cat just loves to sleep in the bathtub (it is so cute) and the other sleeps on the lino in the kitchen. Hope that was a little help to you

In our house our temperatures range from 21C degrees (aircon rooms) to 34C, and when I look again, my cat's gone to the warmer rooms. Kinda weird cause before we moved to the tropics my cat used to go to the coolest room in the house.

In my experience different cats like different temperatures-some of mine will go out in the worst cold but one of them gets under covers if it's less than 70F.
