In my opinion God favors no one prayer whether it be a group or an individual. God will answer all prayers in the way and in the time He sees fit.

The more the merrier. We pray for each other because the bible tells us too. Whether or not God answers prayer by numbers I have no idea. But more than anything it's about our relationship with each other and our faith in God to act on their part.
I have noticed that when I have faced a certain problem I seem to go through it smoother when I know people are praying for me. Perhaps it's just a comfort thing, but I honestly believe others prayers on my behalf are working.

with prayers, God looks at every individual differently, it's better to have prayers as a community but it is much better to have prayers as an individual so as to show your personal cares to the Lord.

Actually God does not hear the prayers of the wicked much. God has those of his house hold and those outside his household. He will hear the prayers of children, The innocent. Those who seek him on behalf of some one else. Those of his elect and those of the helpless and the widows prayer. But God speaks alot about the prayers of the wicked and him truning his face from them.
God loves us all but he also resist the proud.

Quantitatively, if an individual counts for x, then a group would count for (x * n), where n is the number of individuals in the group.
But if the value of prayer is 0, then it just doesn't matter how many pray.

God's Word:
"...The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much"
James 5:16
Of course, the more prayer on a particular request, the better.

I find that the most sincere requests get answered...
I was looking for a church around where i lived (i got saved 400 miles away when on holiday), i attended 5 different churches looking for the right one for me. I had just attended the worst service ever at this church, didnt mention God, Jesus, the Spirit, didnt sing worships song... it sucked! then after the service when i was outside i just screamed out Lord give me a church!! (i think a few people actually heard this ^_^)
That same day when i was working a lady came to me and asked for help, i helped her. She noticed that i had a little fish pinned to my collar... we started chatting about God and churches, she then arranged for someone to pick me up the next Sunday and they took me to the an awesome church! And that church is still the same church i attend to today...
It also worked when i quit my job, i had been accused of stealing (they suspended me... i quit!) walking back home i screamed out Lord give me a job! 2 weeks later ive gone from supermarket to Pipelines Engineer!

People suffering from schizoid delusional mental disorder feel comforted when they meet other people having similar delusions. This disorder can sometime evolve in a full blown mental disease with dire consequences. It's one of the reasons why it not a good idea to encourage the delusions but to help those people getting psychiatric treatment instead. That's why it's important to answer those prayer request with advice about facing reality, seeking psychiatric help and information about the delusional aspect of prayers.

logically speaking (i mean for spiritual people's logic), each prayer that comes from the heart will be granted by God, eventually.
In this case, if it's a collective prayer, when the prayer comes true it will be more noticable than single prayers by individuals.

This is specifically covered in James 5.
13Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. 14Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. 16Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
17Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. 18Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops. 19My brothers, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring him back, 20remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.
