looking for a second hand motor but dont want to incurr any losses/find out its been stolen etc?!

Probably the cheapest you will get and includes Police National Computer and Association Of British Insurers for "write offs" only costs a tenner

Ring up your insurance company - most of the time they can tell straight away form their database link - if they can't tell you they can recommend a company - it's in their interest to help you
When I bought my car they checked all it's history out for me
