stated “And God said, let US make man in OUR image.”(Genesis 1:26

on the first day, God creates light and separates light from darkness, and day from night. But God did not create the light producing objects known as the sun and the stars until the fourth day. So then, where is this light coming from? Then god creates plants before he creates the sun and water to drive the plants photosynthetic processes.

Mount Sinai god said to Mosses “Thou shalt not make unto thee any grave image, or any likeliness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.” (Exodus 20:4)After god has given the 10 commandments to Mosses and his people, he said to Mosses “Thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.”

“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent (Numbers 23:19). Then later god continues to say Malachi “For I am the Lord; I change not. (Malachi 3:6) But earlier it is stated in the book of exodus “And the Lord repented of the evil which he had thought to do unto his people.” (Exodus 32:14).

It says 'our' and not 'my' because Jesus and the Holy Spirit are three in one, the holy trinity. That's actually evidence for the Trinity.

God says that in the new jerusalem, the light won't be from any sun but will be permanently in light because his presence will be there.

There's a difference between making an idol, ie something that you worship and decorative statues. It doesn't mean for example that we can't have ornaments in our house.

If you go back to the greek, you'll find that the 'change' described in Malachi means that his character remains the same. Whereas in Exodus, it says he changed his mind ie he responded to Moses' pleadings. That is another great thing about God, that he cares enough to listen to our opinion and respond. As he also did with Nineveh.

seemingly contradictions but when put in context we find nothing in the bible contradicts itself relating to religious truths. to understand the bible you must realize it primarily deals with religious truths. the authors were not experts in science, history or other scientific subjects, while the bible has some some truths relating to scientific, historical truths again remember the authors main focus is on the religious truths regarding god. you also need to have an appreciation and understanding of the culture of that time adn the literary forms the author(s) used and again the important message the author meant to convey, one example is the exaggeration of numbers inthe old testament, in that culture numbers played an important part and so numbers were exaggerated or down played to signify something that the people of that time could understand more and have more significance for the people. that is why we have difficulties understanding the old testament. the new testament is hidden in the old and the old testament is revealed in the new.
