Ok, I am a evolutionist and a creationist. Now because the reason I believe in such things is that we as humans within THIS WORLD are too perfect to actually fall inthis form we are now in today. I mean, this does not mean that im not an evolutionist, just imagine a world being left alone and through billions of years of evolution ALONE we as humans would have at least not only have different skins, hair, or eyes, but also our external appearance of ourselves would have been totally different.
A couple of million years ago our legs, arms, sense of smell the vission or our eyes could have been totally diverse from one another (I.E. A bats vision is almost a redish color because they adapt to the dark while we see all colors). What im trying to get across here is that if a creator did not exist we would all look commonly like freaks. But since there is a perfect law (which science is still in the process of finding out, besides creationist science) to which we still maintain our

To "create" means to put and keep something in existence. God is Creator because He puts and sustains everything in existence. He is the maker and final goal of everything that exists, all things visible and invisible.

The truth of creation means that God's loving creativity builds into each of us a meaning, purpose and destiny which nothing can take away from us.

Does the Genesis account of creation contradict the scientific theory of evolution? No. In affirming that God is the ultimate cause of all that exists, Genesis gives its ultimate meaning and purpose - "Why" the world exists. It does not explain "how" the physical world came to be in its present condition, which the theory of evolution tries to explain.

The Catholic Church does not have an official position on whether various life forms developed over the course of time. However, it says that, if they did develop, then they did so under the impetus and guidance of God, and their ultimate creation must be ascribed to him.

Concerning human evolution, the Church has a more definite teaching. It allows for the possibility that man's body developed from previous biological forms, under God's guidance, but it insists on the special creation of his soul.
Peace and every blessing!

I believe in evolution through creation to a point. I don't think we were once apes but I am sure we've evolved. Early man was probably stockier and hairy do to physical labor and Climate. But who's to really know for sure. I'll ask God when I go up and let ya know

I agree with evolution, and I disagree with creation. I have yet to see a good solution to the infinite regression of creationism (i.e. If intelligence must have been created by intelligence, how can you deny that the 'first' intelligent being must have had an intelligent creator? And that one must have an intelligent creator. etc.)

What ever suits your logic, i guess works for you; let me say this though, human beings, and every other living thing on earth, are FAR from perfect. In fact, if we were so perfect, then why are we susceptible to thousands of diseases, can't survive for more than couple minutes w/out oxygen, couple days without water, and can't even scratch our backs? (some of us can't...) just a thought...

First off, there's not such thing as an evolutionist. Dang, it sounds so militant.

No, I don't believe life needed a creator or divine intervention to guide it along.

thats flawed logic. science has physical proof that what they say is truth. you have faith. if you had to choose to walk a path, would you do it blindfolded or would you use your eyes to see the path you walk. diversity arises from necessity, you have to realize that evolution took place over MILLIONS of years. also we evolved from a species of primates which is why there are still monkeys today. its like the monkeys are our uncles. not direct descendants but closely related.

It never fails to amaze me how few people realize that Evolution and Creationism are actually the same story with different timelines.

I have no idea where you get your science.

Its not only evolution!... its also natural selection... So we end up looking very much alike because we have common genes! Did you missed the Biology class?
