I have been to 3 doctors. One said it was kidney stone , the other said he had no idea, and one said that it was a suture. What gives! It is worse at night when I try to sleep, or I am just more annoyed by it then. There is no pain, and it is internal. I can relieve it by scratching it, but it comes right back. There is nothing external that gives any clue.

This sounds like something going on with the nerves. When there is a problem with the nerves one of the symptoms can be itching.
When I started to have problems in my thigh area on my left leg one of the symptoms I got there was burning and itching so bad that I had to scratch.
I would definitely get another opinion to see what is going on. Trying a rheumatologist could be an option to consider for seeing other drs because of the fact that this is close to the ribs (rheumatologists are drs that treat diseases and disorders of the bones and joints). They may be able to help you figure out what is going on.
