Just have a light meal before bed such as cereal, toast etc. With going to bed that close to your actual workout I wouldn't recommend eating loads of protein as it takes around 3 hours to be digested properly. You will be losing most of it as fat and waste. The best workaround is to have your protein at dinner time or just a few hours before your session. Fry ups are a nice morning wake up when you are aching if you can't get all the protein in at dinner time.

Most protein drinks would probably have an added energy or stimulant to them, so they probably might not be what you want. I would recoment a simple barbequed or george forman grilled chicken breast or something. Maybe add a side like salad, rice, cous cous, etc... Pretty healthy and it wont keep you awake.

I completely despise broccoli. I never cherished it in any respect. i think of that's because of fact i'm variety of a supertaster, quite some cruciferous vegetables are unappealing. yet i'm able to consume cabbage if that's arranged maximum suitable (uncooked pink cabbage in a salad--yum!) and am getting used to dark leafy vegetables (rather kale). Broccoli, nonetheless? Nope, never. And provided that i'm vegan, that's quite humorous, i think. even though it additionally ability i don't consume any variety of meat, dairy, or eggs.

Well, most macho men will tell you steak and potatos to bulk up... but I read that you should go for lean or healthy fats... like in chicken, turkey, or FISH. I'd go with fish and spinach. Oh, and if you're gonna go with turkey, make sure it's lean AND made with breast meat. Some are made with dark meat which has bad fats. Good Luck!!! Oh, you shuld probably go to one of those men muscle mag websites... they've pretty good info... I read my husband's stash and it has pretty good advice...

You should eat things your body needs to function and repair itself, so carbohydrates and protein. Maybe some vegetables for iron and such, but nothing fancy.
