Choice and Causality are concepts that enable us to cope with everyday life, but they may be less useful to deal with wider issues.

I think that the need to ascribe purpose to every act of matter is some kind of property hardwired into the human brain during evolution. I don't think it is really a feature of reality.

In your choice of religion, it is more better to have your research first whether tht religion is a true religion or not., like in your choice of food that you have to taste it first before eating it.
