I don't know about all cats, but a few of my cats come in the bathroom when I am in there just to watch the toilet flush!! They seem to be fascinated with the flushing of the toilet! My older cat knows that when I am in the bathroom I will turn the water in the tub on so she can have a quick sip, so she is usually one of my followers. My husbands cat follows him in the bathroom because that is the one place she likes to be brushed & petted, its like their alone time!! LOL See we have 2 older kittens, one older cat (mine) and his cat just had 5 more 3 days ago, we also have an 8 yr old & a 6 month old and a dog too. So that is her & his alone time. But, cats are just nosy anyways!! If it bothers you too much, just shut the door to keep them out!

My cat does that all the time too. When I'm in the bathroom and the door is closed he would sit there and scratch the door until you open it for him.... I think it's their way of wanting your company.

The bathroom is the ONLY place one of my cats wants to be brushed. The only problem is, that like yours, she will follow anyone in there, and demand a brush. She knows she has the upper hand, and that we are "sitting targets"! All cats instinctively know that they are the boss, and will do anything to drive that point home to their servants! The weirdest thing is that we call ourselves cat owners, when , in fact, they own us, and Boy, do they know it.

To show you who is the boss, the cat is of course. Cats don't belong to people the people belong to the cats. They can ignore you all day and then decide you can't go to the bathroom alone. People tell you cats are independent but it is more like they are control fanatics.... good luck.

Ha ha! the two one among mine stick to us into the showering room- i think of this is because of the fact they understand they have have been given a captive objective industry and we've no longer something greater beneficial to do whilst sitting there, so why no longer puppy them? as quickly as we first have been given them, we tried shutting the door and that basically made them stand outdoors and scratch on the door, placed their little paws below the door, and meow/cry. We theory they had advance out of it or get uninterested in following us to the showering room, yet so far, they have not.

He's making sure YOU know who's the boss... and that, no, even if you are in the bathroom, you STILL do not belong to yourself.
Be patient. You will learn the rules sooner or later. Cat's are very patient with us, don't you think?

Cats like to be very much a part of your life and are curious. They seem to have to be every where you are. Take it as a good sign. They love you!

He's got your full attention in there...it's become habit for him. Mine like to come in the bathroom and drink fresh water from the sink faucet.

My cat often drinks from the toilet, so I think she comes in just to give me dirty looks for what I'm doing to her water :)

The cat knows he has a captive audience. Does he walk behind the toilet and tickle your behind with his tail? Does he crawl into your pants while you're on the toilet? See, it could be worse.
