OK, you are officially a fool! Right now I'm currently deployed fighting the War on Terror and there you are cozy in your little computer chair. Mocking us over here in the Desert, you ungrateful person. Don't you realize we are here months at a time protecting you from people like Osama, and Amedijinad... what you need to do is grow up and Join the fight instead of relaxing at home while we are out here getting killed... It is our duty as Americans to serve even if you think the cause is not just... Remember winning is not an option is a must....!

The disrespect that you would show is remarkably one of the lowest things a person could do. The veterans of this war do not have the option of where they go or what they do. They, unlike you, follow orders and have sworn an oath to this country. The very country that you enjoy your freedom in they fight to protect. The did not make any of the plans for this war nor were they asked their opinion of the mission or if it were ok. Why in God's name would you want to bring some disrespect like that to someone that has no control over what you obviously disapprove of. And even if you do disapprove what have you done to make your voice heard by those that are responsible for the beginning or the end. Let me tell you, nothing, not one thing have you done except bellie ache and chime in with others without having knowledge one of the conflict or what is happening. Your information is by word of mouth and the media. Well, I guess you are well informed and wrote letters and formed groups to let it be known how you feel, or do you just run your mouth and throw rocks in whatever direction you wish and aim for the innocent people involved in the conflict. Are you a terrorist in training? That is exactly the kind of thing they do. The military job in Iraq is not to win, it is to train the people that live there how to defend themselves with protection from their opposers long enough to survive. They would do the same thing for you I am sure and risk their lives so that you might have a chance at a full life. Sometimes the people that deserve to be targets reside under the very blanket of security they provide then criticize the way they provide it. Tell you what, why don't you just volunteer to take one place over in Iraq and let that soldier come home to his family and then you can use your strategy and win the war all by yourself?

Well this is a little off base... We pretty much defeated the army.... Terrorist and insurgents are a whole another business its hard to kill them when they just don't line up in front of you to die....But anyway you can not hold one solider for winning or losing a war the army is controlled by politicians and bureaucrats not really an effective way to win a war and the effective way to win a war liberals and human rights activist would go crazy.... There just doing there job.. with constraints look at it this way your a painter you have a job to do,, You need 20 gallons of paint,4 brushes, and the support of the people who hire you.... But instead you have 4 gallons 2 brushes and people protesting the color you are using... If you want to be a jerk or not to a vet.. Well that's your choice this is the United States. Free speech. But that Army is there to protect your rights and way of life when its threatened by a forgien country. But don't mistake the army for bad political decisions and bad bureaucracy. That's the governments fault there just ultimately doing what there told.

Are you serious, or are you being sarcastic, or do you just not have an education? Read the other responses and educate yourself. We didn't lost the war in Vietnam. If you don't appreciate being in this country, and the patriots that put their lives on the line for us, maybe you should consider moving to another country like Iraq.

As so many have told you its not their choice to go to war. He didn't want to miss the birth of his first born child. He arrived home 20 minutes before the second was born (no not twins) and left again a month later. He doesn't have the choice to say hey I don;t think i will go to work today. He doesn;t get sick days or chances to play hooky. There are no garentees days off. He has missed so much of his children's lives to ensure you have the freedom to write whatever trash you want. I hope that if you do say that to a vet that is the last stupid thing you say.

For those out there serving our country right now BLess you and stay safe.

I would hope that you would first get your A** kicked by the soldier/sailor/airman/Marine, then that he would pick you up and tell you the following:

Since 1775, We the people of these United State have banded together to protect and defend the common interest of the People Of the United States of America. Many good men and women have gladly given their lives so that future generation would know freedoms in which they fought to preserve. Because of this, you enjoy the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. It also gives the responsiblity of supporting your government, voting in free elections, not infringe on the right of others, and if you cannot, leave!.

You are an idiot, do you even know anybody in the military? Most people in the military don't want this war, they are simply doing there jobs. It is Bush that is sending them to war you dumb a s s, so if you want to tell somebody "I told you so" you can take your sorry a s s to the whitehouse. How dare you talk down on the men and women who serve this country, you are a peice of s h i t . And next time you see a veteran and you look him or her in the eyes, you should thank them for enlisting and fighting the war because you were too p u s s y to do it.

Sure why not? They served for their country and had a difficult, dangers and suffering time in Iraq or in Afghanistan. Everybody doing this type a job I just can say they are for me the heroes.

soldeirs are merely citizens that take up arms to defend the rest of us that do not....therefore can not lose the war. if a war is lost it is due to greater opposition, or weak leadership or political. The soldier should always get our respect. as long as cowardness was not part of the soldier's character.

As we did in Vietnam, we're actually winning the war on the ground, though the media, like it did back then, would have you believe otherwise. As is typical of occupations, the war is often surrendered by the politicians shortly after it is actually won militarily.
