I cant seem to find a site that compares the two side by side. Is it just personal prefrence? My vet only carries Revolution, I would prefer the better of the two.

Revolution is the better of the two, as it covers more parasites. I wonder where Revolution has been al my life!!
the only one that compares to Revolution is the new one..Advanix Multi..as they both get internal parasites(roundworms/tapeworms, etc)

tests show Advatix Multi kills ticks faster.
My friend lives in a neighborhood plagued wth stubborn fleas. she was susing Frontline Plus, and still losing the battle. She came to visit me last summer, and I sent her home with Revolution. She couldn't believe how fast it worked..She had to call and tell me that she is now a confirmed Revolution user, and staying on top of the problem..

Neither is better, they both do different things.

They both treat and prevent fleas.

Revolution also treats and prevents tapeworms and ear mites, but it does not do ticks.

Frontline Plus treats the environment by killing flea eggs, which regular Frontline does not do.

Revolution is more expensive as it treats some worms as well. Talk to your vet about whether your pet needs worming with tablets as well or if s/he'll be OK with just Revolution (OK for low-risk animals like indoor cats)

revolution does more, it treats heart worm and ear mites as well as fleas and ticks. front line is the Dr Harry endorsed one, it only does fleas and ticks. i personally prefer revolution because they retail at the same cost so u might as well get more for your money, most vets i talk to say the same thing.

in terms of which kills fleas better that depends on your local population, each one is slightly different and some build up resistances to the different chemicals to two brands use.

Revolution is said to be the better of the two because it treats more pests but also it is known to have more reactions due to more chemicals added to it to be able to treat your pet for more pests. I prefer Advantage still. It is a chemical too but seems to be less harsh. Ive herd of a lot of pets having reactions to Revolution, my Mom works at a vet & they refuse to use it there. Its all a matter of opinion really, if you NEED to treat youir pet for ALL the things revolution treats then it may be the answer for you, but remember the more chemicals put into a product the more things there are for your pet to be allergic to or have negative reactions too. Be careful &* BEST OF LUCK!!

Go to the online pharmacies and read up on each.

Everyone has a personal preference...
Mine is Frontline Plus.

But to keep costs down, I now give my cats Advantage.

frontline focuses more on fleas but revolution prevents heartworm, fleas, and other types of worms and eggs. you still have to buy an all-wormer though for tape worm, whip worm, etc.
