There is no synonym for Mass because Mass is a Catholic Chirstian ceremony. Maybe "Prayer meeting" or
"wsorship" as other Christian religion call it.

I went to services. Mass implies Catholic but it's not necessary to announce which type service you attended. Saying you attended services usually implies a church service of some kind.
