I am now in my 30's and I don't understand why I cannot have clear skin! Since my early teens when I started having 'bad' skin, I've tried so many different cleansing rituals, but none seem to work. I've been on Proactiv, Estee Lauder, Mary Kay, as well as many store brand cleansers. I go through a ritual every morning and evening of washing, toning/astringent, lotion repair. I'll have moments of clear(ish) skin, but it doesn't last long.

What do I need to follow or do in order to keep my skin clear of blemishes that make me look like I'm still in high school?!?

Some people will always have bad skin.

All you can do is:

Keep it clean.
Drink lots of water.
Eat well.
Exercise daily.
Don't stress.

Due to Psoriasis I have never, ever, used any product on my face. I am now almost 49. The most I do is throw water on it while in the shower and if I have been out in the sun, gardening, I put on a after sun. That is it. I do wonder if all these products on the market from cleansers to various creams do more harm than good, but that is my personal view. If you are in a face cleansing ritual and the skin on the face is still bad, what about the skin on other parts of your body that you never tone/astringent lotion repair? How clean is skin supposed to be?

Genitics. Enviorment. Diet.

Lots of things makes skin go "bad". Consult a dermentologist.

Have you been the doctor? You might have roseacea. Do a search on it, go informed, and see your doc. There are medicines, like MetroGel, that work a lot for that (or sometimes a low-dose antibiotic). It's very common for those of us in our 30s.

Best of luck to you!
