Yeah. Sometimes honesty isn't always the best policy. The problem is, I like to be honest, so now after learning from past experience, I just try to mix in a little diplomacy or I simply don't say anything at all. If the asker persist, then I let them know I'd rather not say since they might hold it against me, and I simply leave it alone.

Sure. Speaking the truth is always the best course, it's HOW you say it that people react to. Learning to speak the truth in a way that doesn't hurt or demean someone is called "communication skills".

Yeah but very seldom unless provoked... its fine to tell the truth but we can always say it in a nice way... I mean, it is not what you say but "how" you say it... and how you think the person will accept the truth no matter how hurtful it may be...
