im a skinny guy and will need to to build muscule with out trying to gain as much weight as possible so can have less fat to burn off to work on my abs. what are some foods that are high in protein that i can eat to build muscules faster. i would like protein powders but i'm 15 and i think im too young to buy them.

you are not to young to use supplemental protein. protein powders are manufactured from whole foods and the body can not tell the difference between the source of nutrients. you can buy protein at any supermarket or health food store. use whey protein after exercise with some carbohydrates to speed recovery.

if you want to gain muscle mass you have to increase the amount of protein, carbohydrates and healthy fats in your diet. increasing only the protein intake does not automatically cause an increase in muscle mass. the body needs a sufficient amount of carbohydrates so that it doesn' t utilize protein for use as energy.

if you are lean a good ratio to start at is 25% protein 50% carbs and 25% fats. multilply your bodyweight x 25 and consume that many calories daily. if no weight gain in 2 weeks increase the cals by 10% each week until weight gain occurs. monitor your body fat to track gains

Any meat, but mainly chicken. They digest faster and easier than red meat. Also less expensive.

Or you can try Whey Protein at the Nutrition Store.

yes you are too young for suppliments. skinless Chicken, milk and peanutbutter are all good sources of protein. tofu can be a great substitue for protein powders as long as you don't have an allergy or thyroid problem. Soft Tofu can be blended with fruit, milk, juice or yogurt to make a quick shake.
Drink alot of water, you won't do yourself anygood if you are dehydrated when you exercise.

Fish (I can't remember which kind has the highest amount of protein) probably tuna or salmon.
