I am currently going to a vocational school that is 8 hours per day. & I was planning to work right after and that will be 8 hours a day also. So i will only be getting 5 in a half hours of sleep. Should I work? I don't have any bills. But I want to have money. This is the only job that I can find that fits after my school. I get out of school at 6pm... not very easy finding a job part-time or full-time period for after 6 pm. So....this is the only job that is available.

well if your a teen then 5 hours definitely is not a good amount of sleep. But if your an adult that isnt good either, just try to prioritize and try to get more sleep. If not you have to do whatcha gotta do to survive, right?

Suggest you look into a nursing home or a treatment home where there is a need for a person on graveyard, allowing you time to do a job and still study.

Sleep is important for the health of the body and brain. But people have been known to survive on less than 8 hours a night as long as the sleep is deep, allowing for REM sleep/dreams, etc.

Why not look into grants or scholarships, especially those available through the Federal Government until a program WICHE, in fields that are in great of people.

although it isnt really good for anyone, it all depends on how you react to the number of hours you do sleep. I am 16, i have to wake up a 4:30 to get to school on time. I stay up till 1:30 in the morning watching Gilmore Girls. I only get 3 hours of sleep and I am so hyper in the morning im like a 2 year old but by 4th period i am dead. It all depends on how you react.

In general doctors say that eight hours sleep is required for us. But in this busy age, there are really a very few ones who can enjoy it to that extent. In modern life we have to forego so many things, we have to compromise with so many things! The matter of sleeping period is also one of them.

Somehow or other body can be given rest for five hours to proceed for the next day's schedule. It will not show any adverse result immediately. But after a period, it may generate a few health troubles. But we are helpless. In this e-zamana of utter busy life, we will have to compromise even with these sort of troublesalso. Really an irony!
