i've been going to the gym for about 2 and a half weeks and using the EFX and the tredmil.. and now when i run or walk fast outside on normal ground.. my ankles KILL and i can't run.. they almost feel stiff.. its so bizarre.. why is this? has this ever happened to anyone else? what do i do? will it go away?

Your ankles could be inflamed at this time from the exercises. Take a break from exercise for a few days. The best exercise is swimming. It doesn't cause hard impact on the joints.

Use an over the counter anti inflammatory medication such as Advil three times daily. I recommend you take a hot bath with 2c. of epsom salts to relax the muscles and after the bath apply ice pack for ten minutes To help reduce the inflammation.

If you don't feel better within a week check with your medical doctor.

It's not uncommon when starting an exercise regime to have something like this. Be sure you're doing the exercises correctly and not hurting something. It may be a little swelling which would make them feel stiff. Try putting an icepack on them for 15 minutes at a time.
