Like someone else said. The US lacks absolutely any driver's ed. Much of it is just common sense.
Proper etiquette dictates that you only move to the left lane when passing another driver. It doesn't matter what the speed limit is. If you're driving 65 on the fast lane while everyone else is going 75, you're still impeding the flow of traffic and making it quite dangerous.
People who hog up an entire lane with no cars in front of them is just outright selfish.
I daresay truckers are some of the best drivers in the country. They usually respect the rules.

Better question -- Why do people drive so fast with all the hazards and deaths on the roadways every day?
One other thing. I'm probably one of those "slow cars" you're referring to, but guess what? I'm not going to let anyone "push" me to go faster and risk a ticket or worse. I also have just as much right to be there as you do, as long as I'm going the speed limit. So, no, I won't get over or speed up! Folks like you just need to be satisfied going 65 or 70 in a 65 zone. Sorry that you have to obey the law. Shucks.

Driver's Ed in America is an absolute, proven joke compared to other first-world countries. People do not learn/remember that, on the freeway/highway, the left lane is only for passing, so they think they can stay in that lane just as if the were driving around town.

When I'm on local streets, I drive slow but only so Ican catch only green lights with out having to stop. haha.. My car needs premium gas so I try to avoid accelerating when I know I'm probably gonna have to slow down or stop soon. But when I'm on the highway, I'm in the fast lane going 90 so I guess the gas I save on local streets I waste on the highway huh?

We need to be at the Bingo Hall by 8p, so we leave at 4p so we won't be late. lol
It makes me nuts too, but the older I get, the more I can tolerate it. I was lucky in a way. I worked the midnight shift and they were all in bed when I was trying to get to work. The night shift had some advantages. good luck
