Spyder Vs2, Smart Parts Ion, and Indian Creek Designs Promaster are all great beginner guns for your budget.

Check out some Tippmanns...They have the Tippmann Pro/Carbine, which is a good gun. It is really accurate and it is a workhorse that will last you forever...but it has a slow rate of fire (7bps)...a Tippmann 98 Custom is about the most popular gun in the world, it has a good rate of fire (10 bps), and is the most upgradeable gun on the market...and you'll be in good company if you buy one...next is the Tippmann A-5. This gun features a built in Cyclone feed system, which takes the place of an electric hopper, and you can get some really sweet upgrades for it too (15-25 bps). The Smartparts SP-8 is a good gun, fast rate of fire (15 bps), kinda heavy though....All in all you just gotta think about the end use. Do you want to be a light rifleman? A medium rifleman? A heavy gunner? A mobile heavy gunner? A sniper? Just pick one and do some research...I'll reccomend a few good sites to help you along...God speed...

Tippman make awesome paintball guns, the one I bought is one level under pro and it was only $299, but they have cheaper models if you don't want pro or anything close. Hope this helps!

if your looking to spend that on just a gun nothing else, then go with the smart parts ion straight out. If thats how much ur spending on everything as far as hopper, tank, mask, ect. then go with a syder or tippmann
