By the way Revelation was apocolyptic literature for the people of the day. The exile in Patmos was writing about good over coming evil and rescuing his people from exile. Not a prophesy for today. Literary and historical context are very important. Also that and understanding it was a metaphor.

You are thinking too small. The Great harlot, Babylon the Great is the world empire of false religion. Not only the Vatican, but also false christian religions and so called pagan religions not serving the true God of the Bible.
All these try to control the worlds political powers as in the wild beast with many heads and horns.
What they don't realize is next, the political powers will soon tear down religion and destroy it.

Babylon was a great city that fell, a city that was filled with whoredoms, (i.e. adultery, homosexuality, group sex, fornications, orgies) and a ton of other sins as well. Any society that embraces comparable things can be compared to babylon. And just because a society is godless does not necessarily put them in the category babilonian proportions. It's those societies (ahem...western countries especially) that are decaying and setting themselves up for destruction such as was the case with Babylon. Don't knock the Catholic church. I am not Catholic but there is a lot of good that's still there. They most definitely don't compare with Babylon, I believe, as a whole.

The Roman Catholic Church is mystic and its heart, many of its saints were mystics. The Roman Church has most of the correct spiritual truth, however the manner of dissemination is incorrect, and the manmade doctrine and dogma are wrong. That's the heart of the Antichrist anyways.
The Roman Church knows many of the many ancient secret teachings that have come to light recently, but they tend to deliver "milk and honey" to their following, and in so doing, have created Christianity thusly as well for the masses. Roman Catholics are mostly Gnostic Christians in the closet, if they actually read the Bible themselves. The Nag Hammadi discovery was no accident either, with people now in an age of separating from mass organized religion, with God nothing happens by accident.

You are reading too much of the fiction of Alexander Hislop. Are you going to support your bigotry with the "Davinci Code" next? God bless!

Your logic is obviously flawed, because Jesus and the Bible said this about his church:
Joh 17:11 And now I am not in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name whom thou hast given me: that they may be one, as we also are.
Mat 16:18 And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Mat 16:19 And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven.
Mat 28:18 And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth.
Mat 28:19 Going therefore, teach ye all nations: baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.
Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. And behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.
Joh 14:25 These things have I spoken to you, abiding with you.
Joh 14:26 But the Paraclete, the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring all things to your mind, whatsoever I shall have said to you.
Act 2:41 They therefore that received his word were baptized: and there were added in that day about three thousand souls.
Act 2:42 And they were persevering in the doctrine of the apostles and in the communication of the breaking of bread and in prayers.
Act 2:43 And fear came upon every soul. Many wonders also and signs were done by the apostles in Jerusalem: and there was great fervor in all.
Act 2:44 And all they that believed were together and had all things common.
1Pe 2:6 Wherefore it is said in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious. And he that shall believe in him shall not be confounded.
1Pe 2:7 To you therefore that believe, he is honour: but to them that believe not, the stone which the builders rejected, the same is made the head of the corner:
1Pe 2:8 And a stone of stumbling and a rock of scandal, to them who stumble at the word, neither do believe, whereunto also they are set.
1Pe 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a purchased people: that you may declare his virtues, who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:
1Pe 2:10 Who in times past were not a people: but are now the people of God. Who had not obtained mercy: but now have obtained mercy.
Jesus founded authorized, empowered and personally guaranteed only one Church, the Church that has been known as Catholic since 107 AD, and which is the same Catholic Church that can be found in the Vatican and all around the world today, constantly and faithfully proclaiming Jesus as Savior and God.
All these things categorically rule out every single one of your preposterous and blasphemous charges, which have absolutely no scriptural support at all.
