In addition to the Menu Foods recall, several flavors of Royal Canin, the Venison and Brown Rice flavor in Natural Balance, Blue Buffalo cat food and Diamond have had problems with rice protein.

There are also dogs dying in Africa due to the corn gluten being tainted with melanine that has been found in the wheat gluten and rice protein in North America.

There has been a recall on wheat and rice products that are in many different types and brands of dog and cat food. I would check this website and make sure you aren't feeding anything that has been recalled. The recalled foods contain melamine, which could kill your pet, or significantly lower their lifetime.

Yes, you need to be concerned. Animals have died. Go to menufoods.com/recall to see the list of affected brands.

At this time the pet food recall only involves foods sold in the U.S.A. and Canada.

Yup you do.. Check out the recall list at www.menufoods.com/recall and see if your food is on the list.. If it is, stop feeding it immediately and see your vet.
