I'm sure some do, but I do not. Errors were made early in the conflict by Rumsfeld and then compounded by Bremer though. I do feel somewhat betrayed by our senators and congressmen. They either need to support the effort whole heartedly of demand immediate withdrawal. All this pandering and politicking for votes with withdrawal deadlines and pork spending attached to the spending bills is just sickening. They are so worried about looking weak and losing votes they cannot commit either one way or another. If they want the United States out then pass a darn bill to that effect not any of this political B.S. that's going on now, but to date no such bill has been put forward. So one would have to say they have no courage or fortitude in their belief that we should leave, if that's the case then they need to fully support the effort and quit playing politic with our service men and women.

I don't, no. I do, however, feel betrayed when I see people holding signs saying "F*ck the Soldiers", "God bless IEDs", and little gems like that. I feel betrayed when all I see on TV is the carnage that insurgents are creating for the sole purpose of guaranteed airtime on American networks, and all the good work that I and my comrades did is unheeded. The good work that many Iraqis are doing to try to help themselves and their country is, if anything, even more overlooked than the thousands of projects American soldiers and contractors have done to help communities all over Iraq... and you never hear or see anything of it. Why would you? News networks benefit far more from showing wreckage, fires, and screaming bomb victims than they would by showing new schools, hospitals, children going to school for the first time, or the fact that Iraqis can at least have cell phones and TVs and other amenities they never had before. That kind of bias benefits those who profit from keeping people negative about the war... and think, seriously: who benefits from that? I'll give you two general hints. It benefits some people here, and it benefits some people there. If you can't figure it out beyond that, or have your head stuck so far into the sand that you refuse to even consider it, then there's nothing I can do to help you. But then, if you form your opinions based on what you see on TV or what other people tell you, there wasn't much hope for you in the first place, was there?

I do. look on the solutions you acquire right here - the liberals seem to think of that the militia ought to be like yet another specific-pastime team and vote for the flesh presser who delivers them the main candies. as properly - have you ever heard an Obama supporter show regret for Obama's helping the Democratic celebration Line fairly of those (harmless) Marines while his celebration tried to railroad them over the Haditha 'bloodbath?'

It's a good question, and I can honestly say I DON'T know, since I'm NOT in the army. I think everyone else who is NOT in the army shouldn't answer on behalf of the troops, as a sign of respect.
And by the way if soldiers criticize the commander in chief, they can be court-martialed. So your question is useless...

Thanks for the points. It makes up for the slew of violations I've gotten this week....the strangest thing is that all the "reports" are coming from known spammers whose accounts have been suspended. Weird, huh?

I certainly do not agree that they are betrayed, they are certainly forced to fight to their deaths.
