Vigorously pursuing the spiritual path all my life... one day in 1992... Everything came to standstill. I felt that something was wrong within me. Having completed my engineering in 77... I entered my family business. While in the spiritual pursuit of life... one of the professors of the University from where I passed asked if I wanted to switchover to USA. This professor had already settled down as a senior professor in a University in USA.
I bluntly refused his offer... I wanted to do everything living within the confines of my country. In 1992 I reconciled to the fact that had I gone to USA then... I would have made upwards of hundreds of millions of dollars as done by spiritual stalwarts like Deepak Chopra etc. But that was not the goal of my life... what was it that I was stuck up? Where was I to go from here?
I was totally confused... I had almost reached a dead-end in my spiritual career! One day while turning papers in my library I came across an advertisement of "Kodak Co"... it simply stated, "Stay wherever you are". I got the point. Remaining within the confines of my family and the country I had to go further. I was not to brood or look back in life. There was no point thinking of the nice time that I could have spent in USA had I settled there.
One day I went to the house of a relative. The wife of my cousin gave me a book to read. She had purchased the book for four cents. This book finally opened the last vista for me. It was a straight journey thereafter. I learnt the ingredients of Anekantavada and Syadavada... the two famous doctrines of Jainism. I had got the answer to my problem. A few days later I finally gained kaivalya jnana and reached the stage of self realization.
The last hurdle in my journey over... I finally came across God on one-to-one basis. I could now commune with God Almighty almost permanently every second of my life. Sometimes, the closed chapters of life await a silver lining in the grey clouds. I had got mine in the form of the advertisement from the famous photographic Co Kodak. Who would want to leave this sacred place? I am always here aren't I? I use to want to get someplace else until I found out where I am. Be the changeless that knows change. It has also been said that "coming and going are the different phases of samadhi". I also like the quote by Gandhi. Thanks. ~ : )

Where can we go from here? Where the road has no end; where the journey is the destination. Long, sunny days followed by long, starry nights: an endless procession of process and time.

Further within to see the Light that enlightens the path(s) outside our own selfs.
And...I do live my life as Gandhi quote you expressed.
There is another ' shift ' in the ' universe ' that is being felt...a further ' awakening ' that is subtlely being felt. . . yet...still...very much occuring.

"Where can we go from here?
Which is the way that's clear?
Still looking for that blue jean baby queen,
prettiest girl I've ever seen.
See her shake on the movie screen.
Jimmy Dean.
Rock on"
