Both. Archeology, eye witness accounts. This book has been scrutinized more than any other in history and it still stands. Not much documentation backing up other historical events that occurred long ago and we have no problem believing them. And the bible is still relevant in today's world. That makes it an amazing writing.

There is ample physical evidence for most of the facts of The Bible... But most Christians are not scholars of all of the various sciences and "ologies" that are needed to confirm the physical evidence....
All that most Christians can honestly do is to give Their personal testimony and witness as to what God has done for them... The Bible of The True Christian Faith will not prove God. Nor can it "prove" it's self.... But God can and will prove The Bible to those who honestly come seeking God's Word and will for their lives... The Bible is a guide for God's people... not for the world... it is up to God's people to strive to be the best witness they can be... and be prepared to testify when appropriate to the truth they have experienced.... That is the Way of The Faith.

While testimony (how the bible benefitted somebody else) can certainly be compelling, I personally like cold hard facts that cannot be reasonably discarded.

The evident of the bible's authenticity and credibility is overwhelming!

I have both....

Yes I was an atheist 28 years. I saw miracles.

I was arrested and a drug team was searching my home....I had lots of pot, that was all found. I prayed for the 1st time in 15 years while in jail awaiting bail. I figured If I am going to be wrong about Jesus, now is the best time to test it out. I had a half ounce of cocaine under the couch cushion. I prayed my heart out that it would not be found....If it was not, I would give my life to Him.

As I was held overnight, apparently the search went on into the evening. There was a dog there they said in court, and I knew I was screwed!!! They also reported small bits of cocaine was found in the kitchen on plastic bags, so this dog has a nose for coke. I prayed that if G-d could turn that dog's nose off in my basement that I would serve Him. I went home after being free on bail. My house was destroyed. Golf clubs broken in half, fireplace disassembled, kitchen wrecked.....etc

I went downstairs and only one thing was as I left it, the cushion on my couch. I have 2 couches there, one was torn apart, the other was left completely how it was. I reached under, and there it was. I got rid of it and have not used drugs since.

As I came more and more towards G-d, I kept going back to court. One by one, my charges continued to get dropped. Eventually they were all dismissed. Even my lawyer didn’t really understand it. They had all kinds of drugs, plants, bits of coke…lots of evidence. Yet they continually dismissed charges. Now I am 100% free and have no record at all! Praise G-d!

Physical evidence, 2 years ago the pastor and a few of us from church prayed over a lady who had not walked in 10 years. Her feet looked swollen 3x normal size, as well as her calves. They went down before our very eyes and she walked that night.

I'm pretty much sold!

As far as proof that the bible is what it says??

Physical evidence. I studied heavily on that before I came back to the Lord. I wanted to know that the bible was true. I found my proof.

The bible is VERY VERY valuable. I personally use it to wipe my butt. Also, when you need to start a campire, you can use it as kindling. Then, once the fire is out, piss on it and then to make sure it doesn't reignite, coat it in your ownshit.

Actually, the true purpose of the bible is so weak minded ******* can find an excuse for being hateful, bigoted, and homicidal

Since the last physical evidence was 2000 years ago... How can I believe in an idle god. Note that that evidence is disputed buy everyone that is not xtian. So even that is disputed.

Any kind of legitimate, meaningful evidence works for me, but I won't make any conclusions until I have enough of it. Physical evidence tends to be VERY convincing.
