Most of you seem to think that you are wasting your time here on R&S. If that is the case....in all honesty now....why are you here?

Maybe most of the people who answered that question felt that way, but I don't believe most Christians would agree with them.
I don't feel like I'm wasting my time at all, or I wouldn't be here. I try to share the truth of God's word, which all Christian's are not only commanded to do, but want to do. We cannot convert anyone, only God can do that. But we can sow seeds of truth-God's word does not return to Him void. He will watch over His word as it goes forth.

Never know if it's a waste as far as winning others to Christ. In any case I like it here. I think a lot of others do, too. It's stimulating when you get real questions. It's always nice to pray for someone. It's enlightening to me to get to know some of the others......Christians can be very isolated at times from the world. We have our own community within the city community and our lives revolve around church life. And what an opportunity to share the good news. I'm having a ball reading all these comments. You can tell when the teens get on, when the wacks get on, when the jaded get on, when the new Christians get on, when the questions are homework questions, when the questions are bait for ?, when someone just doesn't have a life, when someone doesn't have a clue, Yadayadayada. When it's not real serious, it's very amusing. Oh, and I have to admit, I get worked up occasionally, too. I love it.

I hope the atheists will cut them some slack because they are only trying to do them a straight. Of all the atheists I think I like meatbot the best. The man just cracks me up. I suppose I can do this for a while longer but I don't know for how long. Good night all.

Most of us? I find that hard to believe. I love to answer questions. I love to help. I enjoy trying to try to clear up some misunderstandings that arise here.
I have made friends here. People that I pray for as well as they pray for me. I have said however that I'll pass over the rude and or hateful questions, because the questions in themselves are a waste of time. But being here is not a waste of time.

Well, some people are searcing for a good question to answer. A lot of people (I'm not pointing any fingers "The What Should I do Retard" ought to understand) ask pointless questions that do not belong on the R & S section.

Not only that, others ask or comment not smart things about our faith which we'd rather clear up.

Because there are two types of Christians... those who claim they are Christian and those who live the christian life. You can go to church ever week, pray in front of all your friends and neighbours, have a 'god bless X, Y, Z' bumper sticker and still curse like a sailor when you are late for a hair appointment. OR you could not go to church, pray in your soul, and have a 'feed the homeless' button on your backpack and actually work at a shelter for piss poor wages, or teach people to read, or smile when you hear a child laugh in a quite subway car..... and go to bed every night knowing you made a difference... and didn't get a thank you but just knowing it.... who's the real christian....

I think that anyone's time spent here is well utilised. I spend 1hr/day here & relish it.
One comes to know the viewpoints of a wide range of persons. But all answers need not be taken at their face value. Some answers R given in a lighter vein, some R out of anger & some others out of misplaced dedication, ---to each his own !

Sometimes it is a chance to explain my faith.
I know we have a lot of junk on here.
But there are some good questions and some good answers.
I wish some would be polite, but you don't have to be specifically on the R & S board to see the R & S questions and respond to them.
Now there is a guy "Q" whose questions sound like what a bunch of little prepupescent boys would come up with. There is a lot of baiting going on.

I'm because I'd like to think that I might say the right words that would help someone reach an understanding about God or Christianity that they've never had before and decide to pursue a life with Christ.

I don't think that I'm wasting my time. I'm here to answer questions and help people in whatever way that I can. I'm disabled, so I have plenty of free time

And if I can find an answer for someone or help explain something, I consider it time well spent.
